If you registered to attend the 2020 BenefitsPRO Broker Expo in Austin, you would have been disappointed to find that, along with many other events this year, it has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the good news is, the event has been shifted to August 20-22 in Austin and will go ahead in a fully digital environment.
While you may have been looking forward to networking with fellow agents and brokers from all over the U.S.A., Scott Thompson, the VP and Global Events Directs has wisely chosen to put the health and safety of the Expo’s hundreds of staff, delegates, advisors, speakers, and sponsors, first.
The multi-day virtual program will still be delivering the superior information and networking experience that this event is renowned for. The virtual event will take place the same week as currently scheduled, but the days are shifting to August 18th – 20th and will feature:
Keynote presentations: You will have access to more than 12 hours of presentations and breakout sessions from speakers such as Florida’s former governor Jeb Bush, Combs & Company, LLC’s Vice President Colleen Blum, Colibri Insurance Services, Inc’s President Amy Evans, and Christopher Dennis, the Chief Behavioral Health Officer of Landmark Health to mention but a few.
Virtual networking: Although you can’t rub shoulders, you will have access to dedicated video networking time with our sponsors, exhibitors, and with fellow attendees.
On-demand content: You’ll find all the information you need, throughout the whole month of August, in our library of on-demand content that has been created exclusively for Expo attendees.
Despite the fact that participants will not be able to meet in person, the Expo’s multi-faceted approach has enabled the team to maintain the essence of what their event is all about; face-to-face interactions and executive-level discussions with the very best in the industry. They continue our commitment to providing quality content and networking at the high standard that attendees have come to expect from the Expo.
Because they don’t want cost to be prohibitive during this challenging time, we have waived the attendance fee to the Expo for vendors. We are also giving all paid registrants the option to transfer their paid 2020 registration to the forthcoming 2021 Expo or to receive a full refund.
What to Expect From the Virtual 2020 BenefitsPRO Broker Expo
In order to make the most of a virtual Expo, the team has updated the agenda somewhat to best fit a digital environment. Participants can expect:
Free participation for sellers: That means vendors can sign up to listen live, ask questions, and participate fully at no cost.
A quality speaker faculty: Participants can benefit from talks and interaction with more than 40 speakers and more than 25 free sessions including panels, fireside chats, presentations, Q&A, and interactive workshops. What’s more, there will also be additional live and on-demand content.
Easy access: As an attendee, you’ll have access to our user-friendly, browser-based platform which enables you to securely participate in over 12 hours of exclusive content, both live and on-demand throughout the month of August. You will also have access to video chat with exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and fellow attendees.
Network like never before: Because there are no travel restrictions, hundreds of agents and benefits brokers from across the U.S.A are coming together in collaboration. As well as attending group video conferences, you will also have the chance to schedule virtual private meetings with your colleagues.
A full virtual exhibition: Attendees also have access to more than 100 exhibitors. You can search for the vendors you want to see from your desk, watch demo videos, and interact directly with exhibitors via live video chats.
